As for this week, we had a great time viewing all videos in class. Most of my friends have done a good job. i liked some of the themes as they are focused more on the cohort four's development since we entered foundation till now. As, for me and my pair, we actually created a good video with the title of "colours of life". It was a pleasant video and we had so much fun working for the video. -Frustration that took place after the girl refuses his love. Hence, he started taking drugs to forget her.. He is recalling back every incident that took place in the past. He is a successful businessman now.

We were assigned to do an educational video which is less than 10 minutes, but it has to be done in pairs. So, we were supposed to find a pair who is in different in race and gender as that was Madam Foziah’s order. Thus, I decided to work with Malay guy friend, Togo. We both decided to work in pairs as we are not allowed to work among friends. We both had to crack our brains in order to come out with a nice story that can be used as an educational video.
Then, I had a good story to actually share with the pupils. So, we both decided to use my story to create the video. Later, we told the story to Madam. Foziah and she gave us some idea to improve on our video. Then, we both decided to use picture’s to actually convey the story that we have created. My story was basically about this businessman, who leads a successful life and he watches a guy proposing a girl outside his office. Then, he recalls back everything that took place in his life in the past. He also loved a girl deeply but she did not accept his proposal.
So, he was really frustrated and then he could not concentrate in his education. Then later, he started to hate his life and then he started taking drugs. Until his family and friends were there to actually guide him to come back to the right path. Later on, he succeeded in his life and he graduated in a varsity. Then, he found his true love and he got married with 3 kids. Later part in his life, he was a successful businessman with good job and a happy family.
The moral of the story is, “say No to drugs” and be grateful with everything in life. I felt that that story could actually grasp the pupils attention as it has a good message in the end. So, I hope my pair and I would complete the video well with the Almighty’s blessing and teamwork.

I think this quote is very inspiring as it is applicable to everyone of us as a student. Last week, we were told to get into groups to complete our 3 projects consist of the photo editing, audio editing as well as the E-Book. As for the Audio editing, we were given two task by Pn Foziah, in which we were supposed to work as a group and individually. Deqman was the leader for my group, thus he divided the task and informed everyone on what we were supposed to do. That shows clearly on how he has taken his responsible as a leader of the group. The date due was the following week and we all managed to finish the task given by Pn.Foziah.
My friends and I came late to the class as we were out for printing. Once we reached the class, m friend told me that Deqman have not done his part and he is still in the progress of doing it. So, we waited for almost 2 hours and he has not appeared. I started to feel puzzled because what would have taken him so long to finish his part. Then, we were told that each of us have to pass up the assignments by 1pm. I looked at the clock and it showed 12.45pm. I started to feel the fear because Deqman was not there.
My friends and i went to meet Pn.Foziah and we explained to her the situation but from her facial expression, i knew she was not happy at all. I prayed to God, hopping that Deqman would reach the class before, Pn. FOziah leaves. The time was already 12.55, my hands became cold for a moment, until i saw Deqman. We compiled everything and i had to run to the nearest shop to bind the thick assignment. By the time i reached the class, Ma'am have collected everything. My friend and I ran to the meet Pn.Foziah in her room, hopping that she would accept the assignment though the time was up.
I knocked her room door and Pn.Foziah was in her room. I knocked again and again yet, she ignored us. I felt very sad and i was already tearing. Then, a girl came out of the room saying that Pn.Foziah is not going to accept the assignment. I was feeling so upset and i didn't know what to do. So, I returned the assignment to Deqman, and I asked him what made him to do it at the last minute. He told me the reason that he had to redo all his work for technology class and he didn’t have time to do it. I was very sad because as a group member he could have just asked us a help and we would have completed everything for him. If we would have worked as a group we can finish the work fast and it would turn out to be a quality work. Anyhow, there is no use to talk about what has happened, as past is past. Thus, i really hope that Pn.Foziah would forgive us and accept the assignment because it comprises of all our hard work. So sorry Pn.Foziah, we would not repeat the same mistake again. Please do forgive us. Thank you.
E-book?? I was quite puzzled when i first heard Madam Foziah mentioning that we have to do an assignment in which we have to create an E-book. Then, i got to kinow that we have to create an E-Book which is related to our curriculum syllabus topics. In class, Pn.Foziah showed us few examples of E-Book which was created by her previous students. Then, Pn.Foziah told each of us to come out with a story line and then tell her to get her conformation. I came out with few story lines which is related to the Year Three, Fun times topics. My first story was a failure as Pn.Foziah did not approve it, so i came out with a new story with the same topic. So, i came out with a new story in which this boy would realise how much he wasted his time sleeping, without having a proper hobby. During the holidays, i planned my time wisely so that i could do my E-Book early and finish my other works. I asked my friends on how, i could use the GoAnimate software to actually create my E-Book because those Go Animate software is a creative storywork and i feel its good to use that to teach my pupils. So my friend taught me how to do it and i finished my work since i came back early to KL .Overall, i manage to complete my E-Book and sent it to Pn.Foziah's gmail website by monday night. I personally feel that the E-Book is an intereting way of learning because it can create a good storyline that pupils would understand more easily. Thanks to Pn.Foziah for teaching me about the E-Book..=)
WEll, well well.... this week around, me and my friends had a great time playing with the new software that we downloaded. It was known as the fotofx and adobe photoshop. We had a great time learning to use the tools provided to erase a picture, crop and fit in with a new picture. Most of us, had a great time using celebrities picture to suite well with our faces..(LOL). Pn. Foziah actually had a great time watching us coming out with weird pictures which made us look like famous supertars. As for me i loved phoo editing and graphics, but i did not have the chance to buy or use the software provided. Hence, when i knew that we are going to learn something about photo editing, i was so excited. So, me and my friends had a great time, teasing each other with weird, funny pictures and we enjoyed the class for the week. I personally feel that this subject has given me the opportunity for me to look beyond what we have learned in Maktab. As I know, it has always been the books, which gives us the knowledge all the time, but in UM, its totally a different thing as we are able to learn and grasp new knowledge of ICt which is crucial for every teacher. So, before i end my reflection for the week, ill upload a masterpiece of mine, which i did by replacing my picture with the actress Tamanna (kollywood actress).Thats all for now!
This is how I was in my previous class because we were not able to go online due to the server problem at the education faculty. I was quite upset because I wanted to update my latest blog but everything was not right. Thus, Pn Foziah came up with plan B, as she instructed us to get into few groups and then come out with a power point based on the chapters given. Then, we went around looking for group leaders and got into the groups. We were asked to go into new groups in order to mix around with others as we learn better about each other. When we work with different people we tend to, learn new things as we suit our self to their style of learning. For instance; I would prefer to have discussion every time we were given a topic or chapter to present. On the other hand, my friend would prefer to divide the work in order to make things easier and faster. Thus, we know that every one of us have got different needs and choices to suite our style. As for my group, my group leader, Ismail actually came up with the mind map on the chapter Two, which is IDENTIFYING PRIORITIES AND THEIR IMPLICATIONS. We discussed and then I and my friend Gowrey came up with the power point. After an hour, we waited eagerly to use internet, yet we could not retrieve the connection. So, Pn. Foziah actually told us to continue with the upcoming topics and then she asked us to prepare the PowerPoint for all the other topics. The class was so boring and most of them continued their work but some of us had great time chit chatting with friends and Puan Foziah. Yesterday, I came about the FXphoto setup and I really enjoyed playing and meddling with the photo. It was really fun as I was able to create nice frames for my pictures and it made my photos look much more beautiful than how it used to be. Thanks to the resources class as I am learning something new in every lesson.
The picture shows that the pupils share a close bond towards each other because they communicate and interact with each other most of the time. Moreover,the third reflection for the week is focusing on each qualities that helps a child in the foreign language classroom and how can the teacher build those qualities on them? The six main qualities are;
Children's abiliy to grasp meaning
Children's creative use of limited language resources
Children's capacity for indirect learning
Children's instinct for play and fun
The role of imagination
The instinct for interaction talk
As for my group, we were assigned to do the 6th quality which is the instinct for interaction talk. Talking about interaction, it is one of the most important aspect which a child brings when he or she enters the classroom. As we know, interaction is an important element that enhances the motivational value in using the language and the teachers are there to develop and help the pupils to use it properly. On the other hand, learners would face difficulties in learning about the language until and unless he learns to communicate and socialize. As for Vygotsky's theory, he mentions that social interaction precedes to development, consciousness and cognition are the end product of it. For instance; in schools teachers would come out with activities that involves the sharing and gaining information, for instance; Information gap activities. The pupils are required to share the information's in order for their friend to complete the chart or the game. Thus, this activity would involve the pupils to communicate and interact. Hence, in order to learn to work with the young learners, as future teachers we must always know what are their cognitive development, their SES factor and cultural background. All this would determine their usage of the language and helps us to determine their level of proficiency.

Learning something new gives me a new hope to change and live life with lots of fulfillment. As we know education is there to bring difference in every one of us as we are pursuing to a higher level of education. We understand that education could change many people’s life and it has been proven in many cases. I read an article about this lady called Dynasty, who wrote an article on how much education has changed her life. This is what she told, “Seeking an education has helped me tremendously, especially as a wife and mother of three. I have an undergraduate and two advanced degrees that I feel have allowed me to financially be able to take care of my family comfortably. I see how many of my friends and other family members live, and it is a constant struggle for them to survive day to day due to a lack of money and education. I don't have to borrow money from people. I am self-sufficient, and I attribute this independence to seeking an education, before I was married and started having children, to my success today.” This is obvious and many others around the world or even in our own family have experienced such a thing”. Thus, as future teachers; how do we inculcate the importance of education to pupil’s nowadays? In my opinion, the teacher should play an important role in the classroom in which he or she must make learning to be something fun and exciting in order for pupils to have interest in learning. Thus, when the pupil’s have develop their interest in learning they would automatically know the Learning would turn out to be fun and interesting the moment the pupils learn indirectly by enjoying themselves. Hence; they enjoy the lesson while they learn. It is utmost important for a teacher to be creative and imaginative to create a fun learning lesson for his or her pupil’s. One of the best ways would be by us using the ICT as a resource for teaching and learning in our classrooms. Just like last week, we were introduced to portfolio and the resources that we would be learning such as software’s, internet skills, audio editing, video editing as well as photo editing. It is crucial for us to learn all this in order to create a good and interesting lesson plan which could impress the pupil’s and grasp their attention to learning. Last but not least, I would like to say that, technology helps us in many ways and we are gifted to be in the 21st century as we could explore the world as a whole. Adios!
A very gud morning to everyone out there.. It's the first week in UM and everyone seem to be lost yet trying to survive.. Just a piece of advise...=) Have the courage to go through the hard times of life because sooner or later life would turn out to be much easier..(this is true based on experience) Work constantly and dont neglect ur asignments till the last minute or you will have brain freeze..(lol) Time is precious so dont waste time chatting but do contribute some for blogging.. Study hard and smart because if you dont, you will need to catch up with your CGPA.. In other words, plan your time wisely and choose the right path of your life for a brighter future. take care..
